PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cBN based sintered body cutting tool and its manufacturing method exhibiting long service life even under severe high efficiency cutting of a hard-to-cut material, by solving a problem wherein a cutting edge ridge line is chamfered to prevent defect during cutting by the cBN based sintered body cutting tool and peeling-like defect called flaking having a form different from a normal defect in quenching steel cutting having large back component force. SOLUTION: A curved surface 6 is formed in an intersecting part of a rake face and a chamfer surface of the cBN based sintered body cutting tool along a ridge line where the rake face 3 and chamfer surface 5 intersect, thereby reducing flaking. The cBN based sintered body cutting tool where curvature radius R1 of a cross sectional curve of the formed curved surface lies in the range of 0.03≤R1≤0.3 mm has high cutting performance.
