PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier, applying a water content to give moisture to the skin of a person and reducing the dryness of the skin and itch due to dryness. SOLUTION: This humidifier comprises a humidity sensor 2 for detecting the humidity in a room, an operation switch 4 for directing moisturizing operation, a storage part 7 storing the correlation data on the humidity and time to apply moisture to the skin, and a control part 8. The control part 8 performs the operation to keep the interior humidity at a humidity to apply moisture to the skin for a predetermined time on the basis of the detection value of the humidity sensor 2 and the correlation data stored in the storage part 7 on receiving an instruction for moisturizing operation from the moisturizing operation switch 4.
