PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output circuit capable of reducing current consumption by suppressing an output current when an output voltage is restricted so as not to fall off below a prescribed voltage in the output circuit with an output transistor which grounds an emitter, uses a base as an input node of a control current and uses a collector as an output node. SOLUTION: The output circuit is provided with: a base current supply part 2 which supplies a base current to the output transistor Q1 according to an input signal VIN from the outside; and a base current control part 1 which detects voltages of both ends between the collector and the emitter of the output transistor Q1 and controls the base current supplied from the base current supply part 2 so that the voltages of both ends do not become less than the prescribed voltage V3. Thus, when a limit operation of the output voltage works, an excess current supplied to the base of the output transistor is restricted and the output circuit at high speed and with low power consumption is obtained.
