PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly grasp a substantially cylindrical object and to simplify the structure. SOLUTION: This grasping device abuts on the outer peripheral surface of the object to be grasped and grasps the object. The grasping device has a plurality of grasping members 13A, 13B, 13C and 13D of which circumferential movement to the object is regulated, moving mechanisms 15C and 15D for making the grasping members 13C and 13D movable in the radial direction of the object towards the object, and a pressing part 30 for pressing the grasping members 13C and 13D movable in the radial direction towards the object.
