Calibration method for analog-to-digital or digital-to-analog converter, by using fixed values for ratios between weighting values and solving equations

To calibrate equations between weightings of a network, where one equation represents a weighting as a function of other weightings, the equations are solved to determined the weighting values. For one or more ratios between the weighting values of respective two weightings, fixed values are used, and for the remaining weightings, the weighting values are determined by solving the equations with the fixed values of the ratios. An independent claim is included for an A/D or D/A converter.
