PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure monitoring device capable of enhancing the reliability of tire identification code registration corresponding to each position of four wheels while eliminating the need for subtle adjustment of the tire air pressure upon tire replacement or rotation. SOLUTION: The tire air pressure monitoring device includes transmitter units A, B, C, D, respectively mounted to tires 1, 2, 3, 4, receiver units mounted to a vehicle, and a tire identification code registration means for registering ID. In this tire air pressure monitoring device, the transmitter units are tuners (1), (2), (3), (4) with an antenna, which are the same number as the tires and placed in the vicinity of the tires 1, 2, 3, 4, respectively. If each of the tuners (1), (2), (3), (4) with antenna receives a plurality of IDs, the tire identification registration means measures the intensities of the electric waves received together with the IDs and compares the measured electric wave intensities, thereby registering the ID.
