<p>Disclosed is a simulator capable of making a decision on the collision of a moving object with a displayed object with a small quantity of data and a computing load. An information storage medium is also disclosed. The simulator comprises a judgment-area setting unit (114) for setting a judgment area which specifies a three-dimensional space for use in making the judgment on the occurrence of collision according to part or the whole of the shape of an object of collision, and a collision judging unit (118) for judging whether or not a collision will occur based on whether or not the moving object is in the judgment area. When the judgment-area setting unit (114) sets a negative hit area which specifies a non-collision area as the aforementioned judgment area, the collision judging unit (118) judges that no collision will occur. When the judgment-area setting unit (114) sets a judgement area so that the negative hit area and a positive hit area which specifies a collision area at least overlap, the collision judging unit (118) judges whether or not a collision will occur according to a predetermined rule when the moving object is in the aforementioned overlap area.</p> |
