PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for a weight measurement system of vehicles are provided to previously prevent occurrence of an accident derived from overload of a car by measuring the total weight of a car in real time. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for a weight measurement system of vehicles includes a unit for measuring an amount of variation of a leaf spring(10), a microcomputer(15), and a car weight measuring apparatus. The unit for measuring an amount of a variation of a leaf spring(10) measures a degree of the variation of the leaf spring according to cargos on board. The microcomputer includes an analog/digital converter(15a) for converting an analog measuring data into digital data, a first memory device(15b) for previously storing a first function and a second function, and a second memory device(15c) for temporarily storing the converted measurement data. The car weight measuring apparatus includes a data display unit(17) displaying the total weight of a car measured by the microcomputer.
