Cosmetic hair dressing composition comprising at least one film-forming gradient copolymer comprising at least two different monomers, with polydispersity index 2.5 or less and most preferably 1.2-1.8 and capable of forming a film with a Young's modulus 1-2000 MPa and most preferably 10-1000 MPa and an instantaneous elastic recovery of 10 % or more and most preferably 35-95 %. An Independent claim is included for an aerosol composition comprising a propellant and the claimed composition.
