ANTIBACTERIAL SAND FOR IMPROVING SAFETY AND SANITARY PROPERTY BY USING SILVER

PURPOSE: An antibacterial sand using silver is provided, to obtain the sand used in a playground with improve safety and sanitary property by using silver. CONSTITUTION: The antibacterial sand is prepared by adding 100 g of a pulverized silver powder to a dissolution bath, adding 100 g of nitric acid with slowly heating, adding 50 g of potash alum and 50 g of tin chloride dissolved in 100 ml of water, adding a sodium hydroxide solution (pH 13) with stirring with removing a nitrous acid gas to make the pH to be 7.5, dissolving 50 g of the obtained silver salt in 1,000 ml of water, dissolving the silver solution in 20 kg of water, soaking 50 kg of sand in 20 kg of a sodium hydroxide solution (pH 8), and substituting 50 kg of the obtained sand with 20 kg of the obtained silver solution.
