PURPOSE: A gas insulated switchgear for switching automatically a gas insulating failure block is provided to connect or disconnect a fixing terminal to or from a movable terminal by using a rotary method. CONSTITUTION: A gas insulated switchgear for switching automatically a gas insulating failure block includes a grounding switch, a main body, and a tank including SF6 gas. The gas insulated switchgear further includes a rotary terminal portion(40), a fixing terminal(30), and a casing(50). The rotary terminal portion(40) is covered by the casing(50) within the tank. A rotary terminal portion(40) is rotated by the rotary power of an operating handle. The rotary terminal portion(40) is separated from the fixing terminal(30) when the rotary terminal portion(40) is rotated by the rotary power of an operating handle.
