PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic information transmitting system capable of suppressing a communication load or communication cost while ensuring information freshness. SOLUTION: A probe car on-vehicle machine 60 repeats a processing for accumulating data showing a traveling locus and measurement data measured, and a processing for transmitting the accumulated data from a transmitting part 64 at a designated transmitting interval. When a probe information collection device 30 receives the data from the probe car on-vehicle machine 60, a probe information transmitting interval determination part 43 determines a transmitting interval up to the next transmission of data by the probe car on-vehicle machine 60 and transmits it to the on-vehicle machine 60. The transmitting interval of traffic information is set large when the change in traffic state is large, and set long when the change is small, whereby the communication load or communication cost can be suppressed without deteriorating the information freshness of traffic information.
