PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for highly precisely and easily evaluating the weather resistance of an organic material in a short period of time. SOLUTION: The evaluation method includes: a reference value setting step for setting [parameter on the amount of NH group and/or OH group]/[parameter on the amount of CH group] as a degradation index value and the degradation index value when the organic material reaches weather resistance degradation as a degradation reference value; an increase rate measuring step for testing the weather resistance degradation of the organic material and measuring the rate of an increase in the degradation index value to a parameter related to time on the organic material; and a prediction step for predicting the period when the degradation index value reaches the degradation reference value on the basis of both the degradation reference value and the rate of the increase in the degradation index value.
