PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil concentration measuring method for accurately and simply measuring the concentration of a mixed oil after its replacement at the installation site, etc. of a refrigerating cycle device in the case where used refrigerating machine oil is replaced with fresh refrigerating machine oil. SOLUTION: The refraction factor of a mixed oil of unknown concentration taken out of the refrigerating cycle device, etc. and that of a mixed oil of known concentration are measured to calculate a difference between the respective refraction factors in terms of oil concentration, thereby measuring the concentration of the mixed oil of unknown concentration. In so doing, their respective refraction factors are measured after the respective mixed oils are left as they are for 30 minutes or longer in the same temperature environment.
