PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sorting apparatus comprising a sieving machine capable of dispensing with a large-sized vibrator for preventing clogging. SOLUTION: The sieving machine 11 is equipped with a sieve body 83 having a large number of slits and arranged obliquely, a charging chute 84 for charging incineration ash in the upper end part of the sieve body 83, one side discharge port chute 85 for discharging the incineration ash passed through the slits to fall downward from the sieve body 83 and another discharge port chute 86 for discharging the incineration ash flowing down from the lower end of the sieve body 83 without passing through the slits. The sieve body 83 is equipped with a large number of sieve rods 92 parallelly arranged at a predetermined interval in the lateral direction of the sieve body 83 so as to be inclined downward from the upstream end parts thereof to the downward end parts thereof and the upstream end parts of the sieve rods 92 are fixed by a fixing means 100 while the downstream end parts thereof are made free without being fixed.
