<p>The method improves the brake regulation in a braking system having at least anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic stability program (EPS). The system has an electrically driven hydraulic pump, outlet and inlet valves, a low pressure reservoir and an electrically controlled separating valve. The low pressure reservoir takes in at least some of the pressure fluid which is usually diverted from the brakes. The hydraulic pump is used to return the pressure fluid to a main cylinder such as a tandem cylinder. The separating valve operates to separate the main cylinder from the hydraulic line to the wheel cylinders. During the ABS control and when additional pressure is required at the same time such as for a GMR or ESP function, the main cylinder is separated by the valve from the wheel pressure regulator and the brake pressure regulation is executed with the volume of brake fluid contained in the loop separated from the main cylinder. Independent claims also cover a system operating under such a method and a computer program product.</p> |
