PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cassette arranged so as to prevent the scraping due to the contact between a rib and a tape reel even though the rib is formed at the inner face side of a cassette case around the tape reel for two-color molding, etc. SOLUTION: This tape cassette is constituted so that a pair of tape reels 3 winding a tape-like recording medium is pressed to the lower half case side from the upper half case side by a pair of leaf springs 15 and also rotatably housed in the cassette case composed of an upper half case 1 and a lower half case 2, and a position control part 20 is arranged on the inner surface 1a of the upper half case for controlling the position of the leaf springs in the height direction. The contact between the rib 19 formed at the molding and the reel surface 3a can be prevented even though the tape reel 3 is unnecessarily moved to the upper half case side by some cause.
