An electric drive (1) has an electric motor (2) arranged in a housing in which the housing has a connection zone at which the contacts for joining the drive to the external electrical conductors are arranged. The electrical contacts are arranged on the second part (5) of the housing so that they are positioned in separate installation positions relative to the electric motor (2) and that between the electric contacts and the electric motor (2) are flexible connecting leads (9) which are adapted to the different installation positions relative to their dimensions.
