<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flash memory and file system. <P>SOLUTION: A flash file system 4 is composed of a flash memory 6, a host system interface, a cache memory system, a flash conversion hierarchy unit, a flash memory and a sub system 14. The host system interface performs an interface with a host system. The cache memory system has a certain amount of data unit storing capacity and stores data for transmitting to a host system 2.The flash conversion hierarchy unit performs mapping a logical address received from the host system on a physical address of the flash memory. The flash memory includes a flash memory interface which performs an interface with the flash memory, in order to transmit data from the flash memory to the cache memory system, based on the physical address received from the flash conversion hierarchy unit after transmitting data from the cache memory system to the flash memory, based on the physical address received from the flash conversion hierarchy unit.
