Disclosed is a herbicidal composition which hardly causes the generation of an odor from a fatty acid, can be decomposed into a material having low toxicity, has excellent long-term stability, can use a wide variety of raw materials, and adapts to the environment. Specifically disclosed is a herbicidal composition comprising, as an active ingredient, a glycerin fatty acid ester produced from a fatty acid having an even number of carbon atoms ranging from 6 to 12 and glycerin.
