PROCESS FOR PRODUCING CARBON NANOTUBE

摘要

A process for producing a carbon nanotube wherein a carbon nanotube can be grown on a substrate by the CVD method without leaving of carbon impurities. The process for producing a carbon nanotube is a process of growing a carbon nanotube on a substrate according to a chemical vapor phase growing (CVD) method using a reaction gas containing a carbon source compound, wherein a compound of carbon skeleton having a functional group that is effective to remove carbon impurities deposited at the time of carbon nanotube growth is used as the carbon source compound.
