A blade cartridge (10) for a wet shaving device comprises a housing, defining a cavity in which at least two blade assemblies (10a, 20b) are disposed. Each blade assembly includes a plurality of blades (22, 24) defining respective cutting edges (26) that are substantially parallel to each other and generally face the cutting edges of another blade assembly. The blades are mounted on a carrier, and a wire (18) is spirally wound abount the cutting edges (26) of the blades (22, 24) along the length of the cutting edges.
