PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for blowing pulverized coal into a blast furnace by which the dispersing property of the pulverized coal is improved and the blowing operation of a large quantity of pulverized coal can stably be continued. SOLUTION: When a sectorial lance is used and the pulverized fine coal is used, the following conditions are to be satisfied. (1) The widening angle of the sectorial lance is made to be≤20°. (2) In the case of using d1 for inner diameter before enlarging of the lance and d2 for the maximum diameter of the sectorial lance, it is made to be (d2/d1)<SP>2</SP>> 1.5. (3) The ratio of the grain having≤20μm granular diameter is made to be≥5 mass%. In this way, the combustibility of the pulverized coal and the durability of the lance can be improved compatibly.
