The chain has link plates (2,3) positioned in pairs opposite to each other, and connected via shafts (4). Rollers (6) are born on the shafts via bearings (5), and are located within pairs of link plates, which engage on each other on the outside and protect the bearings against heat radiation and contamination from both sides. The outward facing surfaces of the outer plates also act as side guide faces for the chain (1). The surfaces have an anti-wear coating, and a reflective coating, to minimize build-up of heat in the chain.
