<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve smooth changes in the display positions of 3 dimensional images. <P>SOLUTION: The subject game machine is provided with a variable display device 8 which is equipped with a liquid crystal display panel having an area for left eye for displaying the images for the left eye and an area for right eye for displaying the images for the right eye and has a display area that enables the stereoscopic variable display of many kinds of identifying information and a display controller 150 for controlling the variable display of the identifying information. The display controller 150 is provided with a font ROM 157 for storing the image data of preset identifying information, a depth wise direction decision means for determining the position of the identifying information in the depth-wise direction with respect to the display area, a parameter decision means for determining the coordinate parameters of the left and right images based on the position of the identifying information in the depth-wise direction, a left/right image generation means for generating the images for the left eye and the images for the right eye individually from the image data of the identifying information based on the coordinate parameters, and a synthetic converter 170 which synthesizes the left and right images generated to be displayed on the variable display device 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
