PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a conventional vacuum cleaner requires handling of a brush attachment with pulling a hose and has trouble in fine action to clean a shelf, and also requires being lifted to clean a shelf the hose cannot reach, almost on a level with a user's eyes. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner contains a detachable auxiliary dust collector 41 on a connecting pipe 31, a dust adherence part 44 of the auxiliary dust collector 41 can be inserted into an opening communicating with the connecting pipe 31. Therefore, the vacuum cleaner has the auxiliary dust collector 41 detachable from the connecting pipe 31 and automatically removes the dust stuck to the auxiliary dust collector 41, which offers all over, including the shelf etc. a hose 32 cannot reach, cleaning with fine action of the auxiliary dust collector 41.
