PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield tunnel and a shield tunnel connecting construction method, simply performing connection in a short time in connecting the shield tunnel and an underground structure. SOLUTION: This shield tunnels T1, T2 are shield tunnels T1, T2 connected to the underground structure S disposed in the periphery. An opening segment 11 in which joint surfaces 12, 12 of both side parts formed in the circumferential directions of the shield tunnels T1, T2 in segments constituting the shield tunnels T1, T2 are increased in width from the inside of the shield tunnels T1, T2 toward the outside of the shield tunnels T1, T2 is disposed in contact with the underground structure S.
