PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope that enables a plurality of kinds of observations to be made without any loss of the quantity of light. SOLUTION: The microscope equipped with a vertical illuminating optical system A employs an imaging optical system D which converges transmitted illumination light traveling from a sample 13 after passing through a half-mirror 4 arranged halfway in the optical path of the vertical illuminating optical system A.
