PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transducing a gene, by which the gene can be transduced into a wide range of woody plants, to provide a method for creating a transformed plant by the method for transducing the gene, and to provide the transformed plant created by the method. SOLUTION: This method for transducing the gene into the woody plant is characterized by performing a gene-transducing treatment using an explant comprising a culture shoot obtained by disposing a cut end for transducing the gene at a place just close to an axillary bud, culturing the treated culture shoot to form the multiple shoots, and then selecting the gene-transduced shoot from the multiple shoots. The method can be applied to individual differentiation-difficult plants such as Rosaceae fruit trees without passing through an individual differentiation. By the method, the recombined shoot is obtained in a short period without passing through the individual differentiation, and the gene can be transduced in higher efficiency than when leaf pieces are used.
