PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal switch having a protrusion which is easily formed by drawing on the movable plate of an elastic body to transmit reversal action of a bimetal to a movable contact, which is not easily deformed, and which is strengthened as much as possible so as to be prevented from deterioration with the lapse of time. SOLUTION: The protrusion 18 formed on the movable plate 17 by drawing has a gentle dome shape which has not been formed by deep-drawing, and a truss structure extending from the top of the protrusion 18 down to its base and having a linear cross section comprising two U-shaped grooves is formed. Since the dome shape as well as the grooves have gentle curved surfaces, the protrusion is easily formed by drawing, and no crack is produced. Because of the truss structure, the protrusion is not easily deformed by external force, and is strengthened as much as possible so as to be prevented from deformation and deterioration with the lapse of time.
