PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which causes no wasteful operation even when operated at a place where no radio wave reaches and thus has enhanced user-friendliness and simplifies a system and to provide a video recording reservation system and a video recording apparatus. SOLUTION: The portable terminal 100 receives video recording reservation information, stores the received video recording reservation information into a video recording information storage section, and transmits the stored video recording reservation information. The video recording apparatus 400 makes communication with the portable terminal 100 via a network and stores the video recording reservation information transmitted form the portable terminal 100 into a video recording reservation storage section to reserve the video recording.
