PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a painted aluminum material which consists of aluminum or an aluminum alloy, on the surface of which a silicon-containing paint film containing elementary silicon is formed and which exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, and to provide a method for producing the painted aluminum material. SOLUTION: In the painted aluminum material, the silicon-containing paint film containing elementary silicon is formed on the surface of aluminum material which consists of aluminum or the aluminum alloy and has a contact angle of≤30°. In the method for producing the painted aluminum material, the aluminum material is pretreated by alkali treatment using an alkali solution of pH≥8 and/or acid treatment using an acid solution of pH≤6, the contact angle of the surface is adjusted to be≤30°and, subsequently, the silicon-containing film which contains elementary silicon is formed on the surface of the aluminum material.
