METHOD FOR THE PURIFICATION OF DIMETHYLACETAMIDE (DMAC)

The invention relates to a method for the distillative purification of raw dimethylacetamide (raw DMAc) containing DMAc, low-boiling components, and high-boiling components. Said low-boiling components and high-boiling components are separated into one of the following column configurations so as to obtain pure DMAc: (I) a main column (HK) with a lateral discharge column (SK); or (II) a diaphragm-type column (TWK). The inventive method is characterized by the fact that at least the main column (HK) in configuration (I) and the diaphragm-type column (TWK) in configuration (II) are operated at a top pressure ranging between 0.5 and 1.8 bar absolute.
