METHOD FOR MODIFYING IMAGE FOR USER INTERFACE AND DEVICE THEREOF, CONCERNED WITH INSERTING/TRANSMITTING IMAGE INTO IMAGE STREAM REGARDLESS OF ANALOG OR DIGITAL BROADCASTING PROVIDER

PURPOSE: A method for modifying an image for a user interface is provided to modify an extracted image for a user interface, thereby easily inserting and transmitting the image into an image stream regardless of an analog or digital broadcasting provider while modifying the image with a simple configuration in a receiving-side digital TV. CONSTITUTION: A digital TV of a receiver receives an image including a predetermined freeze frame where an image for a user interface is inserted(10). The digital TV decides whether the receiver requests the image for the user interface to be modified(12). If so, the digital TV decides whether the broadcasted image is the predetermined freeze frame(14). If so, the digital TV extracts the image for the user interface inserted into the predetermined freeze frame(16). The digital TV modifies the extracted image for the user interface(18).
