PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection method of a side ditch capable of accurately carrying out work for making a joint in a gap between side ditches at a curved place. SOLUTION: The side ditch 1 providing a slit 1a having a narrow width on the upper part is installed by butting the end face 1b, and the gap S formed between the tow end faces 1b of the side ditch 1 is filled with a joint filler 4 having fluidity to execute the joint. A bag body 6 expanded by pressure of fluid 9 is made to forcibly enter the inside from the slit 1a of the side ditch 1, and the joint filler 4 is filled in a state to close the inside of the gap S with the expanded bag body 6.
