The roller (8) consists of a deep-drawn outer component joined to a connector (29), and a deep-drawn inner component with a roller body (15) which is rotatably fitted into the outer component by rolling elements (19). The two components form the outer and inner races of the roller, with the outer race taking the form of a cup (13) provided with a track (18) for the rolling elements on its inside and two assembly holes (22) on its bottom (16). The inner race is a hollow cylinder (14) with a track (23) for the rolling elements, and is joined to the roller body by a press fit. The hollow cylinder and the roller body are produced as a single deep-drawn component which is then subjected to further forming and separation operations. A disc (25) is placed between the bottom of the cup and the face of the hollow cylinder. The disc and the bottom are provided with a central fixing hole (26,21). A seal unit (27) is placed between the roller body and the cup. The hollow cylinder is closed with a cover (30). |
