PURPOSE: An electro-optical device, a manufacturing method therefor, and an electronic apparatus are provided to prevent a degradation of an electro-optical layer due to a gas such as oxygen and humidity and ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION: An electro-optical device includes a plurality of electro-optical elements formed by laminating at least a first electrode, an electro-optical layer(60), and a second electrode(50) in series on a substrate. An ultraviolet absorbing layer(30) is formed on the substrate by using a vapor deposition technique so as to cover the electro-optical element. A gas barrier layer(40) is formed by using a vapor deposition technique using a plasma atmosphere so as to cover the ultraviolet absorbing layer. |
