PURPOSE: A refrigerator with an anion generator for converting the radiating direction of anion is provided to keep food fresh in the refrigerator by radiating anions to food stored in the refrigerator, and to sterilize and purify around the refrigerator by radiating anions for the user near the refrigerator door. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises an opening(20) formed in a door(11); a rotating body(30) turned back and forth and combined with the opening; an electromagnet(40) inserted to the upper or lower part of the opening to generate magnetic force to the opening; a couple of permanent magnets(51,52) inserted to both sides of the rotating body with the opposite polarity; a switching unit installed outside the door and opened and closed by a user; a polarity converting circuit converting the polarity of the electromagnet by changing the current direction of power applied to the electromagnet according to opening of the switching unit, and turning the rotating body with 180 angular degrees by pushing and pulling the permanent magnets; and an anion generator(80) inserted to the rotating body and turned with the rotating body according to the polarity of the electromagnet to change the radiating direction of anions to the front or rear part of the door.
