PURPOSE: Provided is a supported metallocene catalyst, by which a final polyolefin to be polymerized can be easily controlled in terms of properties and molecular weight distribution. CONSTITUTION: The supported metallocene catalyst comprises at least two metallocene compounds supported by one carrier. At least one of the metallocene compounds is a catalyst for the polymerization of a low molecular weight polyolefin and remaining metallocene compounds are catalysts for the polymerization of a high molecular weight polyolefin. The supported metallocene catalyst is prepared by the method comprising the steps of: (a) contacting a metallocene catalyst in which at least one metallocene compound is supported by a carrier with a co-catalyst to obtain an activated supported metallocene catalyst; and (b) causing at least one metallocene compound different from the metallocene compound in step (a) to be further supported by the carrier.
