PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital equalization system that efficiently performs waveform equalization of a signal having a large amplifier difference without increasing a circuit size using a digital equalizer. SOLUTION: The system has an analog LPF 4 that removes a high-band component from an input analog signal; a nonlinear A/D conversion part 1 that nonlinearly samples the analog signal and outputs a digital signal; and an equalizer 2 that performs waveform equalization of a digital signal 120 output from the conversion part 1. In the nonlinear A/D conversion part 1, a central value of amplitude of the analog signal is set as reference, and the nonlinear A/D conversion of the analog signal is performed with higher resolution with approaching the central value and lower resolution with departing the central value.
