PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suitable form of an inkjet recording apparatus, which is suitable for a long recording head, which can carry a recording medium with a high degree of accuracy, and which can do high-speed printing with high image quality by suppressing cockling and accelerating drying of ink. SOLUTION: This inkjet recording apparatus comprises the recording head, a platen part with an adsorption means, and a fixing part wherein a means for drying the ink is provided on a downstream side in the carrying direction of the recording medium with respect to the recording head. In the fixing part, a carrying-direction width of the recording medium is greater than at least a dimension between the most upstream and most downstream ink ejection ports in the carrying direction of the recording medium.
