PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric for a capacitor, specifically, a film for a capacitor which has a low dielectric dissipation factor and dielectric absorption. SOLUTION: The dielectric for a capacitor is mainly formed of an organic polymer and contains voids. For the organic polymer as the main component, polyester, polyolefin, or polyphenylene sulfide is preferably used.
