PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for gasification of waste products and the installation therefor capable of carrying out stabilized gas reformation as the dissipation of the burner and the furnace walls is suppressed. SOLUTION: This invention is a process for reforming the thermally decomposed gas of combustible waste products by allowing the decomposed gas to react with oxygen and steam in a reformer to convert the decomposed gas into reformed gas. In this case, the thermally decomposed gas is blown from the top of the furnace, oxygen is fed from the several steps in the vertical direction of the furnace wall and steam is blown together with the oxygen from the highest step. When oxygen and steam are introduced into the reforming furnace, they are blown from 4-8 nozzles arranged on the same plane in the downward direction as a swirl flow. In a preferred embodiment, a double tube is used and oxygen is introduced through the inner tube, while steam is introduced from the outer tube in the direction that the discharge angle becomes≤90°.
