PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame retardant thermoplastic resin molded article and foam that use a nonhalogen flame retardant, and have excellent flame retardancy and environmental suitability. SOLUTION: These flame retardant thermoplastic resin molded article and foam are formed from a flame retardant thermoplastic resin composition comprising 0.5-10 pts.wt. of sulfur and 1-13 pts.wt. of a boron-containing compound based on 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin, particularly a polystyrene resin. More excellent molded article and foam are obtained, particularly when a phosphorus-containing compound is added together with the sulfur and boron-containing compound. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
