<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a using device for contents related to a sound or musical sound that enable parameters set in contents to be set independently of the contents. <P>SOLUTION: The using device 2 for contents stores a correspondence table 3 in which unique IDs and parameter groups are made to correspond to each other. The using device 2 for contents obtains contents 1 (content name A) together with unique ID<SB>A</SB>to ID<SB>D</SB>. Parameter groups A to D corresponding to respectively the obtained unique ID<SB>A</SB>to ID<SB>D</SB>are taken out by reference to the correspondence table 3 to determine parameters to be set.
