PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slender switch apparatus where a rotary switch element is provided around an arm. SOLUTION: The switch apparatus comprises the arm 1, the rotary switch element 4 provided around this arm 1, and a tube 17 housing this rotary switch element 4. An engaging piece 28 extended to and formed on the end of a rotor 10 constituting the rotary switch element 4 is engaged with a click plate spring 23 held on the rim of an opening of an auxiliary tube 19 separately provided on the end of the tube 17.
