<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optometer capable of exhibiting high measuring precision even when the optometry is performed by an inexperienced examiner or when there is no examiner. <P>SOLUTION: A red/green chart 100R is presented on the right eye ER of a subject and an announcement is outputted, asking the subject 4 to answer which can be clearly viewed, a mark on the red side or the one on the green side. If the subject answers "equal " three times consecutively from the first answer, the test is determined to be error assuming that the subject 4 does not understand the test, and the red/green test is skipped. If the mark on the red side or the one on the green side is selected three times consecutively, the test is determined to be error too. When the test is determined to be error, the refractive power of the right eye ER is measured by a +1D gradation test to which a prescribed spherical degree is added, instead of the red/green test. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
