<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation detecting method and its device for measuring the concentration of anα-ray emitting nuclide and aβ-ray emitting nuclide by one detection part while excluding the effect of Rn-Tn. <P>SOLUTION: This radiation detecting device is equipped with anα/βdetection part 1 for outputtingα-ray detection signals andβ-ray detection signals when detectingαrays andβrays, a correlative event extraction part 2 for receiving theα- andβ-ray detection signals from theα/βdetection part to outputα- andβ-ray signals while extracting events having a prescribed correlation from timing information between theα- andβ-ray detection signals to output correlative event signals, and a data processing part 3 for receiving theα- andβ-ray signals and the event signals from the extraction part to subtract values obtained by correcting the number of the event signals in relation to the disintegration of radon and thoron from the number of theα- andβ-ray signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
