PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooker that prevents heat higher than the heat-resistable temperature from being applied at a display means for a temperature protection mechanism of the display means of the heating cooker. SOLUTION: This heating cooker has a top plate 2 provided at a top panel, a mounting part for mounting an object to be heated, a heating means 37, a display means 40 for displaying information of heating output or the like of the heating means 37 by a light emitting element, an operation part 39, a control part 42, and a temperature detecting means 41 for detecting the temperature of the display means 40 or the temperature around it. When the temperature detected at the temperature detecting means 41 reaches the prescribed temperature, the heating output of the heating means 37 is reduced or stopped.
