PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a cumbersome requirement for preparing a soldering wire beforehand for pre-process and a possible risk of breakage of parts vulnerable to high temperatures such as IC parts, in a conventional soldering process in which a soldering iron needs to be applied to a metal part to be soldered for at least few seconds. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a jumper wire comprises a first step for immersing a terminal part of a magnet wire with insulation coating in a high temperature solder tank to melt and strip the insulation body of the terminal part and to cover the surface of a conductive tip part with the melted solder alloy coating, a second step for immersing the surface of the conductive tip part with solder alloy coating in a flux solution to temporarily adhere a solder cake to the surface, and a third step for lifting the wire with the temporarily adhered solder cake side as the lower side to position it near a heat source for melting the solder cake, where the temporarily adhered solder cake is melted and at the same time it is melted and fixed integrally with the surface of the conductive tip part with solder alloy coating. Accordingly, the jumper connecting work can be done in an extremely short period of time and the requirement for the pre-process is eliminated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
